Oracle Installation
Hi all,
I'm running into the same problem installing Oracle 8.0.6 onto a HP 11 server, although I have the PFS patch installed. The server is constantly giving the error "NFS server xxxxx ok", followed by "NFS server xxxxxx not responding still trying" after following all recommended steps. Could anybody give ma any further indication on what I could try? All the daemons are starting and running correctly, however at the installation crunch (orainst), whether in Motif or character mode, the install crashes out. We've got all rpc processes running at start, modified the nfsconf file as required, and are just feeling completely baffled as to why we're getting these NFS errors - any suggestions? Thanks, Conor.

Re: Oracle Installation
I don't know what was suggested before but have you tried replacing/checking the media ? This message has been seen wrt bad media at 10.xx with various versions on Oracle .
