odd message from automountd appearing in syslog

Can anyone shed some light on the meaning of this message?

Re: odd message from automountd appearing in syslog

What it means is the "automountd" daemon, when receiving mount request for a server that is not available (maybe the server can't be reached or the server does not exist) will move these requests to a "cache" and when this this "cache" size exceeds its limit you'll get the error message you're seeing. I guess my question to you is are there such mount request by your NFS clients ? If the answer is NO then double check to make sure you got the latest "ONC/NFS General Release/Performance Patch" install. It fixs all kinds of problems related to automounter (if you look at the description closely).
