OK, this may sound like a really stupid question but I need to know before proceeding.

I've installed the openldap HP-UX 11.00 PA-RISC software on my 11.00 systems and it's working pretty well.
But I'm upgrading these systms to 11i and want to know which openldap software to install.
Should I just use the same one or should I install the HP-UX 11.20 IPF veriosn?
What is HP-UX 11.20 ?
There is no version for 11i or 11.11

The version for 11.00 will work on 11i

That is a default in many but not all cases.

HP-UX 11.20 is for Itanium boxes. Software for HP-UX IPF boxes won't work on PA-RISC boxex.
