ORA-00205: error in identifying controlfile
Dear all,
When I try to create a Database with Oracle Installer.
When create complete and shutdown and restart ORacle.
Oracle display a error message to me(ORA-00205).
I check the config.ora parameter file , and where the control file location is.
It's no wrong indentify.
Why Oracle give the the Error message ? And How to fix ?
(Ps. I tried to move control file to another location and edit config.ora to point it. But it's no useful.)
Thanks a lots. K.Y.

Re: ORA-00205: error in identifying controlfile
There might be lot of reasons for that.
like
One of the multiple control
files are renamed or lost
The control file cannot be located in the directory as mentioned in the initSID.ora
It might be also due to the fact that oracle could not read that control file.
Just check the attachment for the solution.
Thanks

Because, when I create new Database before , I copy a init.ora to init.ora,
and then start to create database. But, occur the situation as Question.

.Magic!!! It can work.
