ORA-01659 in ORACLE 10
Hi colleagues,
I get such error during the import of an ORACLE 8 database inside a new ORACLE 10 schema, what do you think about?
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 1659:
"CREATE INDEX "TPTRAN_TPID_INDEX" ON "TPTRAN" ("TPID" ) PCTFREE 5 INITRANS "
"2 MAXTRANS 255 STORAGE(INITIAL 3153920 NEXT 3145728 MINEXTENTS 1 MAXEXTENTS"
" 121 PCTINCREASE 0 FREELISTS 1 FREELIST GROUPS 1 BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT) TABLE"
"SPACE "INDEX_T" LOGGING"
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1659 encountered
ORA-01659: unable to allocate MINEXTENTS beyond 2 in tablespace INDEX_T
regards
Enrico

Hello Enrico,
> unable to allocate MINEXTENTS beyond 2 in tablespace INDEX_T
Tablespace INDEX_T is likely full. Add more datafiles and try the import again.

Re: ORA-01659 in ORACLE 10
hi Enrico,
Make sure you have enough space in tablespace INDEX_T or it could also be that the tablespace is not present already.
You may also wish to allow it to auto-extend if you have sufficient space in the corresponding file system.
hope this helps!
kind regards
yogeeraj
