oracle 7.3.4 CD for HP-UX 11, not for 11i

My company is in the same situation, and we expect to run oracle 7.3.4 on HP-UX 11i. But the CD we got from oracle is for HP 11, and it seems oracle never releases aother CD specified for 11i or 11.11.

Just want to ask, did you install the one for 11 and then run oracle on 11i with no problem?

Hi Judy,

I do not think Oracle 7.4.3 is certified for HP-UX 11i. Oracle 7.3.4 is only upto HP-UX 10.1, 10.2....11.0.

Logon to Oracle Metalink and select products---->certification------>platforms and this will give a matrix of the certified oracle products for the operation systems.

Hi Judy,

I just checked the Oracle Metalink site regarding your requirements.

It indicates is that, it is supported under "Extended Maintenance Support"

Please contact your local Oracle representive and he will throw more light regarding this.

By the way, why dont you upgrade your database to Oracle 9i ?
