OS Upgrade Plan. 11.23

We have Lclass (L3000) servers running 11.0. we are planning to upgrade to 11.23 version 2, we have 2 36 GB internal disks (mirrored) currently. My question is how much space extra space will this install take? (compared to 11.0) Also are any limitations as far as the h/w can support? Any other suggestions/advise welcome. Please Help.

Thanks

brian.

Re: OS Upgrade Plan. 11.23

You need to cold install 11.23 - don't try an update only.

The rp5470 supports 11.23, but not all of the HBAs (for example all HVD SCSI HBAs are no longer supported.

Check this document:

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11729_div/11729_div.HTML

You will need more space - IMHO 18GB disks are the absolutely minimum for the boot disks (well, it depends on the amount of swap, installed apps etc.).

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
