I come from the Tru64 background. Has anyone know what the equivalent?of /etc/isoapplications (contain of the OSI addressingS). We currently configurring the FTM over clns on HP/UX. Still figure out how we should do it, since it's a diff. env. from Tru64. Thank you

Re: OSI Applications
Thanks for the quick reply :)
I think is it easier if we compare:
First, the local node:
TRU64:
Local NSAP = 39:702:00-00-00-00-00-00-00-01-00-01:00-00-00-01-10-02:21
HPUX:
Is it the one in /etc/opt/ots/conf/ots_subnets? and the sections is
snet_local_net_address? How should I put the current tru64 address to this
HP addresss?
Second, the destination address and applications?
TRU64:
Using the /etc/isoapplications
and the entry is:
msc1 :FTAM:::%X0B01.%X0B01.%X0B01. \
%X39702F00000000000000010001000000050220FF, \
provider=OSI,template=DEFAULT:
(template default is for CLNS)
HPUX:
Is it the one in /etc/opt/ots/conf/ots_dets and remote_app?
How to put the eqivalent TRU64 entry to this?

Iwan Tamimi

Re: OSI Applications
Another thing I want to know why for the desgination address for NSAP over CLNS (Ethernet), it needs the MAC address, because in Tru64 we never put the MAC address.

Re: OSI Applications
You don't have to set up your remote nodes in ots_dests if they support the ES-IS protocol. You CAN set them up if you they don't support ES-IS.
