I have another issue this evening attempting to password reset an account: The password will change using /usr/lbin/modprpw -x clawren1
but when I want to specify my own passwd the following is displayed:
Changing password for clawren1
Last successful password change for clawren1: NEVER
Last unsuccessful password change for clawren1: Fri Nov 12 04:04:17 2004
Current user has no Protected Password entry.
(spdm828a:root)#
The thing is I have chnaged the password several times in the passed.
Thanks

Re: password reset error
Why dont you you use #passwd
#modprpw -x is used when u wanted to delete the user's password and return a random password that the user must later supply to the login process to login and pick a new password.
