but when i try to install i am getting an error for the patch PHSS_32734 saying the dependecies cannot be resolved. This patch is part of the GOLD pack bundle.

Re: Patch install
this patch is for product
Cluster Object Manager B.03.00.00
Do you have this product installed?
How do you install the bundle (command line)?
Do you get an error or just a warning (exact phrase of the message)?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Patch install
We have service gaurd runing on the server.
I am trying to install through swinstall and the analysis phase compltes with errors. I do a manage patch selection and select the option "Autiomatically selct what is on the target"
from the logfile
The corequisite "PHSS_36466.CM-CORE,fa=HP-UX_B.11.11_32/64" for fileset "PHSS_32734.CM-OM,r=1.0" cannot be successfully resolved.
ERROR: The dependencies for fileset "PHSS_32734.CM-OM,r=1.0" cannot
be resolved (see previous lines). â You must resolve the above dependencies before operating on d â width.
this fileset or change the "enforce_dependencies" option to
"false".

Re: Patch install
Then you should install that dependency. Don't try to exclude this patch.

Re: Patch install
Patch Name: PHSS_32734
Products:
Cluster Object Manager B.03.00.00
I checked u patch PHSS_32734
dear George it depends on the product Cluster object Manager,
so u have to check in u system it is installaed or not
swlist -l product | grep -i B.03.00.00
if that software is not installed u can't install this patch
otherwise u have to install this product then patch it
thanks and regards

Re: Patch install
Check for software corruption
swlist -l fileset -a state |grep -v -e '^#' -e configured
Check swagent log.
Use swverify \* to check installed bundles.
Revertback with update.
Regards,
Sudhakar.

Re: Patch install
no need to bundle it with the GOLDPK.
Just download and install that dependency patch. then install the GOLDPK.

SolutionThe patch is excluded automatically.
Just do this:
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x reinstall=false -s
Let the patches fall where they may.
