Please check if the tape is inserted and is in working condition.
Also check:
/var/opt/ignite/recovery/datetime/recovery.log

						hmmph...pax man page doesn't state what a status of 1 indicates, beyond it did execute successfully...
it also appears that you may have disk drive issues, which may, or may not be related.
check pax by trying to archive some files to a new tape using the device you specified in the ignite command.
If that works, then it could have been tape problem or other transient error.
Also investigate the diskinfo error posted for /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0
