Performance with lvm on extended campus cluster
I have an oracle 10G rac cluster with MC/service Guard (2 node and a quorum server).
All my VG are in sharable mode and lvol are mirrored over the sites and activated on the two nodes.
So the Lvol have is primary path on the EVA site 1 and is mirror on the EVA site 2.
The problem is that even on the node 1 or the node 2 on read mode the information is taken on the EVA site 1.
Somebody know if is it possible en read mode to take information thru the faster link? and how to configure this?

Re: Performance with lvm on extended campus cluster
Hi,
I would say read-write all goes through primary site.
I think it's not possible in extended campus cluster configuration, because the mirroring /data replication between two sites/ is done on lvm level. So you have only one primary mirror and both nodes use it.
If you really need this, you need to upgrade to Metrocluster.

Re: Performance with lvm on extended campus cluster
A SecurePath software can balance the load between Pri Path and Alt Path .Maybe can help u use both EVA's IO link.
May Force be with you !
