Perl 5.6.1 needed for 11.11

Hi,
For an older application we need Perl version 5.6.1, since it seems that the newer versions are not fully backwards compatible. Does anybody have the Perl 5.6.1 depot for HP-Ux 11.11 available?

Geert,
isn't perl shipped as part of the install.
You can probably get hold of a older 11.11 /11.00 install CD with 5.6.1.

HP's 5.6.1 is on the Application CD 3 from Sept 2001.
If you, like me, store all CD's you ever got, it is part number 5012-7957

It's not too hard to build it yourself though.

Peter, yes, it is, but they ship 5.8.x nowadays. So if you are applying gold packs' 5.6 won't be there anymore.

OK, Sept 2001 might be a bit old to have still hanging around.

Until now I didn't find the needed version. Our 11.11 server is quite new, so no older CD's. I will try other links as showed as result of the search on google.

I do have a 5.6.1 depot on HP-UX 11i v1 media (June 2004 release), but I think I cannot distribute it outside my organisation.
An option if not finding it on the net would be to contact your HP representative and obtain B3920-14086 medium (CD3 of HP-UX 11i v1 foundation OE: http://www.hp.com/softwarereleases/releases-media2/media/B3920-14086.htm).

If you can translate your binary dists to depot on important software, you are doing the entire community a huge service.

We prefer depot installations when possible.
