While you're doing Kurt's editing, you might want to change "with great proud" to "with great pride".

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

Cheryl and Dan,

There seems to be some problem related to time. There are many threads which have many replies in current date but on the home page it shows last reply date as previous date only.

Even there is a thread which was started in current date and has all the replies in current date. It shows both posting date and last reply date as previous date. This is the one

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=948781

The problem is observed in all categories.

Hi,

system unavailable
The system is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
wpa-pl-wpaframework-10000

The error is seen when opening home page for HPUx category. The linux home page works fine and HPUx threads are also fine.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

This would seem to belong to the Tru64 Forum rather than HP-UX:

Jeff, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that it was removed!

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

Thanks Pete.

In the immortal word from one of my literary heroes - Homer - DOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!!

Yes, I figured that. I was just wondering because it seemed such an innocent post on scope. Someone drop an f-bomb or what?

Now don't you have some furniture to build or something? ;~))

Cheers,
Jeff

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

That thread was deleted as the user had posted the same question earlier, and that question was moved to the OV Performance forum.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

There are no "top members" on the HP-UX family home page this morning! It says "top members" and underneath that, it says "none".

I also eventually had to give up and log in again. When I was on the family home page, it said "Welcome, Pete Randall!", but when I opened certain threads - not every thread, mind you - it would tell me that I needed to log in.

I wonder if this is just going to be one of *those* days . . . . .

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

I thinks this question rather belongs to HP9000 hardware forums than hpux:

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

Not really a forums issue - but can anyone get to hp's software depot?

I get:

Failure of server APACHE bridge:

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

Would it be too much to ask for another enhancement at this time ?

Instead of a choice among the drab cartoon characters one has to choose for his/her profile picture, can't we just have an opportunity to display a picture hoster somewhere else by means of placing a URL in this fiel. I know this can very easily be done as many other BB systems have this feature with image size checking.

It is not too much to ask. Is it ? :)

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

Hm, linking to an external picture can be dangerous thing (e.g. JPEG of death). Within a normal thread I can decide whether I want to download any attached graphics, but on the profile I cannot, because they're embedded, right?

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

I second the motion to NOT include our own images...maybe HP can provide more choices?

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

Just an update. I went on vacation and received a "New HP Forum Discussions" email everyday (8/6 through 8/15). I haven't received any "New" emails since the 15th. I am receiving "Response to" emails.

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

Hi,

this thread belongs to the linux forum

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=950602

(especially since debian has some fancy scripts around sendmail configuration and a simple .cf hack won't be a complete long-term solution.)

Re: Please Post Forums Issues - August 2005

I think this thread needs a new home in Printers and plotters discussions.
