>Can you encourage the person(s)who move posts >out of one forum into another (especially >when they don't even answer the question) to >at least delete the post pointing out its >been moved.
The whole point is to leave the post there so the author (and anyone else) can find his moved posting.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
thanx for the points I guess you know ways to assign points in one go in stead of clicking several times....
Anyway, is there any possibility to enlarge the reply form. many users are using bigger screens nowadays, so a larger formbox for replies could be handy...

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
I am mainly on the Management Software forum, and I am interested in several products/forums there. Some of them however are not interesting for me at all. I usually have the view on All management software forums, thus seeing all the messages from all the forums.
I would rather have the possibility to select multiple forums within management software from which I would like to see messages. Or, to select some forums from which I don't want to see any messages.
Do you think such a personalization will be possible in the future?

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
the "end is near" (of the month), hence here is only one YAER (for now):
May we have HTML "anchors" for the replies, please, so we could point directlry to the answer we want to refer to, especially in longer threads (like this one).
I guess it is difficult for newbies (and most of us, too) to browse through ALL the replies to find the one s/he is interested was refered to.
Thanks,
Wodisch

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
I am continuing to encounter the problem of suddenly being logged off. I can login fine, but then cannot access the Forum (404 error). If I logout, I *can* enter the Forum. Obviously this leaves me in a readonly mode which is very distasteful ;-)
Over about a 20-minute cycle of logging out, moving into the Forum in readonly mode, and then attempting a login sequence, I eventually gain full access (r/w) again. Very, very frustrating to say the least.
Regards!

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
I was signed to the Americas datbase, read a thread and tried to reply. It changed my sign on to the *European* database and told me that I could not answer the question because I was not a member of the Eurpoean database.
Temp workaround was to sign off, then sign back on. However, a perm fix for this bug would be appreciated.
BTW, when I search for COURRY only 50 responses are returned. If I am to continue to make sure that points are awarded to all responses to the questions I post (even when the response is 3 months late) this limitation has to be removed or I will appear guilty as charged when accused of not assigning points! It took me 3 hours of manual searching to chase down the last few posts I needed to assign points to. I do not fancy tackling this again

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
Dan, that thread is fubared! (Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition) If you will look at that last comment which I added you will see that it is compressed into a column 1 inch wide. If it runs tru to form, Paula will be unable to assign points to that reply, I have two other examples on other threads I can give you if necessary.

I am listening, and will report these issues asap to our support team. It is this type of feedback that will go a long way into improving the forums. I really appreciate you taking your time to let me know what you are experiencing.
Thanks, Dan

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
This issue has had me stroking my beard for a while. Did you realize that 21 of the top 25 people have 2500 or more points in the HPUX forum? All other forums have only generated 1 person with 2500 points in a particular forum? Shortly the "top 25 list" will be nothing more than a reflection of the HPUX forum. Somehow I don't think this is a good thing for the forums as a whole.

I've found a bug. Sent you an email about it, I don't know which way will arrive to you faster. Take a look at the mail and please tell me if I'm wrong or right.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
Just a query. Accessing this page takes a lot of time and is very slow. Is it not possible to have this forum on a mailing list and the archive appear here on a forum.
That would be pretty comfortable for the user too.
Regards
Balaji.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
The last couple of weeks my login name has come up upon entering the forum pages, but when trying to answer questions, the reply has timed out.
Had to get rid of my cookie and then log in with user / passwd to get the system working again... and my new cookie sems to be working well.

OK Mr Tully. If you can read this message, IE55 work like a charm.
Thanks a lot.

I would like to see the original message on the reply page so when we reply to messages those of us who are lacking in short term memory would not have to go back and forward in our browsers.
Thanks.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
I have been having problems of one sort of another all day today. This is the first time since first thing this morning that I have been able to post anythin.
I came upon another error at one point today that I hadn't seen before. This occurred at approximately 11:00 AM CST today while trying to go to the main forums page.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues! (10/2/2001)
Hi ,
Firstly, congrats for
the improvement in the site
availability in the last couple of months. The site is more accessible now, compared to the past.
One of the features i would
like to see is to have the
original question available
in the response window. it
avoids me to switch back and
forth or do clumsy cut and paste.
Another one i would like to
see is to have the last
twenty posts i responded/submitted accesible,
rather than the current five.
The more the better.
There is still a good room
for improvement in performance.
Finally, i got this error
twice today while submitting
responses:
Service not available. Please try again later.
(Error VGNCORE-15016-PL-AT)
When i went back to the
response window, the contents
were wiped out and i had
to type all over again.
I will copy and save this
before submitting! ;-)
Good work!
