Re: Please Report Forums Issues - May 2003
This bites. I waited almost an 45 minutes before re-submitting this reply. The first click never took. The second one took about 4 seconds. And it only posted once. It does not take everytime, in fact, it rarely takes the first time at all for me.
ie 5.50.4807.2300CO 128-bit encrypt version running on W2K IBM Thinkpad T21.
Although it usually looks horrible, I don't generally have this problem when posting from UNIX using netscape. I just have to deal with all the garbage it puts on the screen.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - May 2003
I suggest use windowsupdate to upgrade to IE6 SP1. That is what I am using, and I am not seeing the problem you describe. My submits always go in the first time, but I see a pause of 5-20 seconds before I get the confirmation.
We have several apps here on my network that need IE6 (not IE5x) to run properly.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - May 2003
She had a question which I also have.
Whose idea was itrc.hp.com and specifically the forums? What was the original purpose of the forums? Enabling customers, giving A. Clay Stevenson and myself a hobby, saving HP expense by letting the users solve problems?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - May 2003
Weather is cool in Paris and as I am not very familiar with the subtleties of the HP forums, I just found now that this thread suited for complaining or rather informing HP forum responsibles of problems:
So, I posted a question Yesterday to mention that I could not assign points to the good fellows that helped me by giving good or intersting answers to my questions. My browser is OPERA 7.11 and I cannot assign points, I always get 404 errors when posting a question or reply.
Sometimes the search link does not work and sends me to "my profile " page.
That's what I can say.
Also another thing: it seems that my last post concerning problems for assigning points and apologizes for that has disappeared: I received a notification of an answer in my email but when I click on the link to the thread it is empty (except for an answer I posted this morning) here is the link :

Anyway thanks to the great job that everybody does here
and I hope springtime is as sweet in America than in France!

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - May 2003
I have assign points to 609 out of 612 responses.
How can I quickly find out which all responses I have missed to assign points?
I don't want to read all my posts once again abd I am unable to find any shortcuts.
Can someone help me on this?
Thanks,

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - May 2003
e.g. 7.11-2880 on Win2k works perfectly. Older versions I never got to work on win2k.
I can at least post with 7.11-406 on Linux, but I've not (yet) been able to try to asign points there.
Have Mozilla or Firebird installed as backup just to asign points.
Enjoy, have FUN! H.Merijn

Re: Please Report Forums Issues - May 2003
I think you would probably need a Perl script for this.
