Hi Dan,

This is a GREAT Forum.

Better than the local support i can get in this part of the world.

Responses to my "URGENT" Question about FTPonly users was completely resolved within 24 hours. I felt great. I had no idea about that and even though about it being impossible ;)

Many of us still prefer to ask questions instead of doing a search --which could have returned much better replies/solutions 99% of the time.

Before asking the question, i prefer to do a search first...

I find this forum to be *extremely* valuable. On the one hand, my two questions posted recently remained effectively unanswered, on the other hand this was a confirmation for me that I won't be able to solve the problem and that I have to find a workaround.

The sheer mass of experts amassed here, willing and able to share their knowledge, is an extremely valuable resource that I don't want to miss.

I read the daily digests of new forum questions every day, and I have already learned a lot from just reading the discussions.

For me, the forum is the authoritative source of HP-UX help. If no-one can help you with a sys-admin or porting problem here, you will hardly find anyone who can.

I'm now trying to `fix' the statistics to fetch all pages instead of just only the first of every letter :)

What can I say apart from how fantastic the forums are?

I've just gained my first hat, and I've learned so much stuff just from reading other questions/replies that I've had to get my head stretched to fit it all in!!

For those with perl questions, this is the right place, choose languages in the category, and put perl in the subject. It's a guarantee I'll read it :)

OTOH, I'm on Steven's ITRC chat (https://www.beepz.com/itrc-chat/client/index.html) daily, and almost all day (european time) and as long as it does not take too much of production time, I'll be able to answer perl questions

BTW Dan, it's August now. Time to start two new threads :)
