Predictive-psaction file not updating

I can tell predictive is running on my system because when I go into psconfig and review the reports option, I see the dates it has run. My psaction file is not updating, though. Why would that be? Last time it updated was in 11/21
We had a drive failure and I thought that was one of the things predictive monitored...and we didn't get a call from anyone at HP. Problems started Monday and I know predictive ran through the week.

My personal experience with Predictive is that you get what you pay for. Since Predictive is free...

Anyway, look at your mail log and see if you have any predmail stuff recently, if not then there has not been any communication between your box and hp.

psaction is only updated when predictive wants you to do something. Also predictive isn't totally infallible, so it won'y spot every disk failure. Try forcing a connection to the response centre - there may be more up-to-date rule files to download which might spot future errors.

Fire up psconfig
select option 3 TEST

select option 2 test

Then monitor connection on console and look for errors.

no problems at all with the test transfer to predictive. And the line works just as it should.

Next step is then to check the permission on the psaction file:-

in /opt/pred/bin
