Prevent multi-language support from installing on cold install of 11i?
Is there any way to 'customize' a cold install such that support for all foreign languages is not installed by default?
I've got some older D-class systems with smaller drives so space is a concern. I'd like to prune as much out of a default install as I can.
So things like Asian-Core etc are prime candidates.
Does anyone have a recipe for doing this or is willing to share a session log or list of bundles they've removed after a 'default' cold install?
My question is somewhat adjunct to this thread which the author has closed:

It may be my imagination, but I think I remember an option during the install to eliminate other languages. Have you gone through the install yet?

Yes I have on one system, hence the question.

Well, I've got one more system to install and I'll double check where it was I thought I saw that but that will take a couple of days before I can get to it. Maybe someone else can come up with some help for you.

You want to turn this off.
It may be easier to re-ignite, if not too late.

Re: Prevent multi-language support from installing on cold install of 11i?
Asian-Core
Asian-PRINTER
Asian-TERM
Asian-UTILITY
Not much you can do about these on cold install, since they are part of the base install bundle "HPUXBaseOS".
If you really don't want these on your machine, and you have no users in Asia, see what they contain (swlist -l file Asian-Core) and play around with swremoving them.
In cold installs, you could use a post_config_script to swremove them automatically.
