Preventing dtlogin sessions
Hi!
Last year, on another customer site, I can remember implementing a HP-derived solution for preventing dtlogin sessions for named users.
The purpose was to limit the load being placed on an individual server by folk starting-up Exceed/Reflections XDMCP sessions, when all they needed was a single xterm.
Now I'd like to implement a similar solution, but for the life of me I can't remember the solution, and my search of the KnowledgeBase doesn't return the document I found the solution in the last time.
I vaguely remember the solution was a simple shell script, set to the UID/GID of the owner to be disabled, with provision for a message dialog-box to pop up on the users pee-cee screen.
Anyone seen or used such a solution, and can remind me of its nature?
Thanks in anticipation
Bren
