Hi All,
I have an HP Laserjet 4050 series printer configured in server. This printer has 3 trays.
Tray 1-Exec
Tray 2-A4
Tray 3-Letter
The user want to use Tray 1 while fire a print. Is there any option from unix , either thorgh lpadmin or jetadmin or some other mechanism , to set the tray 1 as the default tray.
Thanks in advance

Solution
How is the spooler configured for this printer? remote or network(jetdirect)? If it is a remote spooler you can not control the print job for any options, if it is a network spooler you can try some of the options that are available.
man net_lj4550
Then an example of a printer command would be
lp -dXXXXXX -otray1 filename
