Hi.
I have a problem with printers disabling themselves as soon as a job passes to it from the lp spooler. All the printers concerned are connected to D-link dp301+ print servers. Other printers connected to Jetdirects are fine.
The printers were set up as remote printers in SAM as, for eg:
Name: LP5
Remote: lp5
Port: LPT1_TEXT
When running lpstat -t after sending a job the printer is disabled & the following message appears:
can't execute /usr/sbin/rlp filter
These printers appeared to be working ok since 'go live' last Saturday (21st July).
Thanks,
David
