I need to set up a number of print queues in order to print pdf and text files created on a HP-UX server running HP-UX11.00. I have hppi on the server and have tried setting up a postscript print queue but witout any success. Can anyone give me hints, pointers or referecnes where I might find out about setting up queues on HP-UX for printing pdf files on network printers ? Fortuately, all of the printers are HP's !
Cheers,
Gerard

Re: Printing pdf files from a HP-UX server
If you want to print pdf files to a HP laser printer->
set the printerqueue using jetadmin and select the appropriate model (it lists
all hp models. if in doubt use the laserjet4). That''s it. Now, you can use applications like adobe to
print out pdf files to the printer queue.

Re: Printing pdf files from a HP-UX server
PDF file can be printed by adobe's acrobat reader. No need to have additional settings if you have your printer configured. Open the file in acrobat reader and use print option

Re: Printing pdf files from a HP-UX server
Use the acrobat reader to read and print the PDF files on printers defined.
You can get acrobat reader for HP at following link.
