Re: printing problem in 9000 E45 server
Shalom Arun.
Your E45 is not a PC. Different than today's servers it has little in common with a PC.
Without a specific driver for HP-UX or a jetdirect card, it won't work directly with that system.
Best bet is a samba/windows/cups compatible print server.
HP-UX/HP-9000 servers work with a much smaller universe of hardware than windows. Which is one of the reasons your system which belongs in a museum still runs today.

Re: printing problem in 9000 E45 server
Since there are many ways to connect the printer (parallel cable, serial cable, remote print server, HP JetDirect LAN adapter, etc), it is very hard to give you any ideas. A Google search shows that this is a Tally T6306 and it supports ASCII characters. So, how did you add the printer? Was it with SAM? If so, did you add it as a serial or parallel printer, or is it on the network? And what version of HP-UX are you running? Also, is the printout all garbage characters, or is the first line OK then the next line shifts over, etc? Are you printing a plain ASCII file such as /etc/profile?
