PRM in oracle9i RAC
Does PRM work with volume groups is shared mode (9i RAC)!
We have a 3 node 9i RAC install and when we tried to execute prmavail DISK -only VG that were mounted showed up.
Is there a limitation on using PRM with shared volume groups?
Any help is appreciated

Re: PRM in oracle9i RAC
Hello
VGs must be mounted in order to be used by PRM. This may not be directly stated in the user's guide (only that PRM can only control disks that are managed by LVM). This will be added in soon to reduce confusion.
If by shared volume groups you mean shared across multiple servers, then no PRM disk bandwidth does not work in this manner. The current disk bandwidth controls are only a single server solution.
Hope this helps.
