Problem compiling sudo 1.6.8p1 for HPUX11 32-bit (problem)

Hi,

When trying to compile sudo from source on my 11.00 32bit machine I get the following error output from ./configure

checking whether the C compiler works... configure: error: cannot run C compiled programs.

###############################

The offending entry in config.log is as follows:

Not an answer to your question, but you can download a precompiled version for 11.0 from

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/sudo-1.6.7p5/

Consider the depot version.

http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/sudo-1.6.8p1/

Pre-compiled, save version number.

Easier to install, no compiler required.

The precomiled versions only seem to be for 11i (64bit) and 11.23. The '11' version is just the source code which I have downloaded and tried to compile with the same error. Can I use the 11i depot?

Well, just tried installing from the 11i depot and it works fine. I'd obviously over estimated with potential problem with differing kernel_bits..
