Problem deleting nodes and packages in ServiceGuard

Hi,

I want to remove two nodes (node1, node2) and one package (package1) from ServiceGuard.
The nodes are halted, and can't be powered on any more.
When i try to delete the package with cmdeleteconf I get:

cmdeleteconf : Unable to delete the packages.
Error: Cannot connect to configuration daemon (cmclconfd) on node node1
Error: Cannot connect to configuration daemon (cmclconfd) on node node2

I tried to delete the nodes before deleting the package, so I executed:
cmcheckconf -v -C new_ascii_withoutoldnodes.ascii
and I get:

Error: Package package1 requires a node that is not configured in the cluster

¿Is there anyway to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Re: Problem deleting nodes and packages in ServiceGuard

hi,

the important question is why did you halted the servers ( nodes1-2 ) before reconfiguration of the MCSG ??? Was there some HW crash or the servers was just obsolete ??

Re: Problem deleting nodes and packages in ServiceGuard

The servers were halted to change their location, but they can't be be powered on now due to a non-technical decision.

The cluster is running and can't be halted.
