Problem during booting up HP-UX

Hi there,

I need some advice here on how to avoid the following:

Recreating and recovering qlog devices

vxfs qlogrec : Problem reading file /etc /qlog /config.lock : Error 0
vxfs qlogck : Problem reading file /etc /qlog /config.lock : Error 0
vxfs qlogck : Command qlogck was not successful
vxfs qlogck : The command qlogck

vxfs qlogck : Running the command qlogck with the –f option
vxfs qlogck : will fix most of the problem(s) but will force
vxfs qlogck : a full consistency check (full fsck)
vxfs qlogck : on the vxfs volume(s) which cannot be fixed.

The QuickLog routine ‘qlogck’ encountered the errors mentioned above.
Dropping into a shell so that you can attempt to correct these problems. Once
all possible correction have been made, enter Control – d to exit the shell, and
initialization will resume, see qlogck (1M) for assistance.

This happens during OS boot up. For the current practice, i need to cntl + d to proceed OS boot up.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Problem during booting up HP-UX

Hi FaizirizaL,

This is related to Veritas.
This qlogck with -f option will force a full consistency check (full fsck).

Also Check the following
/etc/fs/vxfs/qlogattach
/etc/fs/vxfs/qlogck
/etc/fs/vxfs/qlogrec
/etc/init.d/qlog-startup
/etc/rcS.d/S88qlog-startup

goahead with the check.

Thanks,
Analsyt.
