I am trying to get entria xterms to work on an HPUX 11 server. They were previously working on an HPUX 10.20 box.
Anyway, I have a test xterm at my desk that behaves correctly (ie, the fonts are the way the customers want, the colors are correct, etc.) on the 10.20 system. The colors and fonts are different on the 11 system.
I have even copied the /opt/hpxt/enware/* directory tree from the HPUX 10.20 system and put it on the 11 system in the same location. The config almost worked at that point, but there were still minor differences in the colors and font sizes.
So, I did a 'remsh xterm get log' while the xterm was booted on the 10.20 env and then once again on the 11 env and compared. What I found was that on the 10.20 env, it was loading an 'mwm' app, as shown in this log snippet:
07/07-16:33> Found file: /usr/lib/X11/700X/bin/C/mwm
07/07-16:33> Loading application: mwm
07/07-16:33> 873 Kbytes.
07/07-16:33> ENWARE, Release B.07.00
When I look at the boot log from the xterm if it boots under hpux 11 server, it doesn't even attempt this.
Now, this xterm gets its IP address and load host IP address hardcoded at boot. Once it connects to the load host, it downloads its config file. Only the IP addresses are different in the config files - every other option is the same.
Why does the xterm want to load the mwm app in the 10.20 environment and not the 11 env?
The OS is configured to use XDM as the default manager.
I know this is confusing, but I'll try to clear things up if you have questions.
Thanks for any help any of you can offer!

Solution
I'm wondering if the/usr/lib/X11/700X/bin/C/mwm
maybe a red herring here .... though I havent dug up the dirt on it yet.
However since your problems appears to be wrt colour, appearance and fonts .... did the users on the 10.20 systems have any preferences saved in say :
$HOME/.mwmrc or $HOME/.Xdefaults as those are the main places such resources would normally be set .....
