Problem to go into the CDE login

Hi all,
I'm having a problem to go into the CDE login prompt. Error msg appears on the /var/dt/Xerrors:
error (pid 1536): Server for display hpman:0 can't be started.

Fatal server error:
Couldn't open X pointer device! Is one attached?
How this problem can be solved?.. Thanks.

The error is suggesting you don't have a mouse properly attached. Is it correct?
Never preceed any demonstration with anything more predictive than "watch this"
