Problem with CDe not launching on Workstations

I am a new Hp Administrator, I am running HP 10.02 I have two workstations that I had to reboot, After reboot they came up in remote mode and will not launch CDE or Vue the message reads X-server can not detremine display type can you shed some light on how to fix
