Problem With oracle 10G upgrade
Hi all,
I have HP-UX 11.11 os and oracle 9i installed, now i want to do upgrade to oracle 10g but still stuck at patches installation (for the software requirements).
The patches which failed to install are:
PHSS_32508,PHSS_32509,PHSS_32510 or most recent
and PHSS_32731 or most recent
are listed below the right product needed first to be installed before the patches installation??
aC++/ANSI C:
HP a C++/ANSI C Developers Bundle LTU
Per processor core license
HP C/ANSI C Developers Bundle Manuals
HP-UX 11i version 1
HP aC++ Compiler for Servers:
HP aC++ LTU for Servers
Fortran:
HP Fortran LTU for servers
HP Fortran manuals
Upgrade credit FORTRAN 77 media
ServiceGuard:
MC/ServiceGuard SW & LTU, HP-UX
Per processor core license
Manual for MC/ServiceGuard, HP-UX 11.x
U.S. - English localization
can anyone show me where to get all the software?

Re: Problem With oracle 10G upgrade
hi,
Licenses for these software needs to be purchased and installed.
Did you run the VALIDATE script (available from metalink) so as to validate your operating system/environment?
In fact, if you already have Oracle 9i installed, you will not require any additional software to be able to install oracle 10g.
hope this helps!
kind regards
yogeeraj

Re: Problem With oracle 10G upgrade
hi yogeeraj,
thanks for response,
"Licenses for these software needs to be purchased and installed." --> can you advice me where to get all these software? any trial/evaluation for these software?
"Did you run the VALIDATE script (available from metalink) so as to validate your operating system/environment?" --> is this for what actually?
"In fact, if you already have Oracle 9i installed, you will not require any additional software to be able to install oracle 10g." --> How to check this out?
