problem with who

Hi,

command who display not the right information. When we remote login on
a HP the last tty entry is overwritten
in the /etc/utmp file. So, if 2 or more
people remote login only 1 entry will be
seen with the who command.
Does anyone has encounterd the same problem

regards

Re: problem with who

Hi,

i've never seen this but seen more users from who but aren't logged in.
However i would try resetting the /etc/utmp with:
>/etc/utmp
