Problems locating (Software/Driver) for 10/100 VG ANYlan (J2577)

Hi All,
I just received an old hp-ux workstation (743) and I physically put a lan card (J2577). Problems is I put it in only after I installed HP-UX 11i (32-BIT).

Now, I need to find the "drivers" for this card so I can add them to the system. Can you tell me where to find this ?

Hi,

the necessary driver is located on the first application CD (mybe you need a codeword), also you need following patches:

PHNE_22727
PHNE_23465

# what /stand/vmunix | grep btlan

Sorry Dude, but I checked and it wasn't there! Didn't find it on any application cd.

Hi,

I??m sorry ;-( But I think that such "older" lan-interfaces like a 100VG ANYLAN is not supported by HP-UX 11.i and that is the reason why you didn't find the driver.

Check the following site for release of various HP-UX media release. I had a quick look there, but couldn't find anything related to your Lan card (J2577):

http://www.software.hp.com/RELEASES-MEDIA/

Select the date specific to the OS media set you have and look for the driver in the application release section. If not found there, it might not be supported.
