problems upgrading HPUX 11.00 to 11i

Hello !

on a nice c3600 workstations i tried an OS upgrade.

How can i check whith version of the Operating Enviroment was installed? in the install notes there are 4 possibilities listed : TechnicalCompOE, BaseOE and so on.


However, everytime i've got errors reading/coping. when i start the command listed in the installation notes.

cannot access file "/cdrom/catalog/SOE"...

every time it is another file.

if i test copy the specific file by hand from the CD it's working.

I'm using the orginal update support CDs from HP.

or is the CDROM drive faulty ??

Are you booting from the cd or are you trying to run the command from the cd while you are up and running on 11.0?

You need to boot the cd...
