purporse of /etc/default/securirty file
I know that we can set some security parameters in /etc/default/security file to have more security on system(which is running in trusted mode)
But will it impact all the accounts system wide or only some accounts??
For example NUMBER_OF_LOGINS_ALLOWED=5
this parameter sets max number of unsuccessful logins allowed for an account as 5.
So will it be applicable for all accounts on the system??
Because after setting this parameter also for some accounts it is showing max number of unsuccessful logins allowed as some other number..
Will there be any seperate configuration file each account in this regard?? sothat system will first consider that file and if it not there then it will consider the values in /etc/default/security file..

Re: purporse of /etc/default/securirty file
Hi:
You could answer your own question had you read the manpages for 'security(4)'.
For HP-UX, section-4 of the manpages is devoted to files and their formats.
Also, please read:
