It accepts user name,aftr giving password it happened.Anyway i solved the problem by recreating the same user.

Re: putty disconnects
Hi Himacs,
It cannot be a putty problem. Something with user settings like user shell or user profile. You should have confirmed by login from some other unix system.
If user is having null shell like /usr/bin/false then you will not get the prompt. you will be disconnected. FTP only account will have this shell normally.

Re: putty disconnects
Shalom,
I won't say that Putty CAN not be the cause, I think it unlikely.
Putty is very simple reliable software.
If you try another ssh application and get the same results, you will need to start to look at other causes:
* Network troubles.
* Bad CAT-5 network cable
* Network card
* Network configuration.
* Problems with ssh service on the server (check the logs at the other end)

Re: putty disconnects
On the main PuTTY window, where you select the system to be connected to, below the profile selection box, there is a raido button setup with 3 options. If you select Never close the window, you can see the message your server was pushing back to you before disconnecting the user. It is a great tool to troubleshoot connectivity problems.
