question about adding host routes

Is there any limit on how many routes or more specifically host-routes that can exist on a given HP-UX system.

We're running HP-UX 11.11v1 OS.

Re: question about adding host routes

Looking at the links to threads you provided Jaime, I have yet another question.

Are the following that they are referencing for max entries switches?

26xx: 128 entries
28xx: 4K entries
34xx: 8K entries
4100gl: 2K entries
5300xl: 128K per module, System Total: 192K (These are HOST entries only)

Re: question about adding host routes

KPS,

The limit is so high that I doubt you'll ever run into it.

If you're interested in learning more, FreeBSD's sys/net/route.c looks like this (courtesy of FreeBSD and Linux Kernel Cross-Reference):

http://fxr.watson.org/fxr/source/net/route.c?v=NETBSD

HP-UX may do things in a similar way.
