Question about CDE(Common Desktop Environment)

Context:
- I launch a tool in work_space_1.
- I go to another work_space_2. Then I receive I pop-up window from the tool launched in work_space_2. It's normal behaviour.

Question:
Is there any way to customize CDE in order to not receive the pop-up window of the tool launched on work_space_1 when I 'm working in Work-space 2? (It should be displayed in work_space_1)

Re: Question about CDE(Common Desktop Environment)

Hi,

I'm not too sure whether u can customize that action. But, the reason, I understand it is configured that way is because, The pop-up is made to appear in the active window. If not, many important alerts that are generated as pop-up would be missed if it were to be displayed on the inactive window. Even if it could be customized, It's adviced not to meddle with.

Let your effort be such, the very words to define it, by a layman - would sound like a "POETRY" ;)

Re: Question about CDE(Common Desktop Environment)

Greeing,

My question is:

Does CDE offer a possibility to not receive the pop-up window of the tool launched on work_space_1 when I 'm working in Work-space 2?

Thanks,
