Re: "LogicalExtentsNumber" value

Hi,

The command does not seems to be complete in itself. Try this and revert if not successful.

#make_tape_recovery â x inc_entire=vg00 -Ava /dev/rmt/Xmn â I

(Where /dev/rmt/Xmn is your tape device file)

Re: "LogicalExtentsNumber" value

The response is garbled as follows :

######################################
make_tape_recovery â  x inc_entire=vg00 -Ava /dev/rmt/Xmn â  I

Re: "LogicalExtentsNumber" value

Hi,

Command should be

#make_tape_recovery â x inc_entire=vg00 -Ava /dev/rmt/Xmn â I

(Where /dev/rmt/Xmn is your tape device file)

You can find same through "man make_tape_recovery" as well.

Re: "LogicalExtentsNumber" value

Hi ,

I/O error seems to be with the DAT media or DAT drive .Before starting the tape recovery test the DAT by using tar and wrote some file and try to read the same .

Thanks,
