Re: "xterm" display setup
Use client wizard to configure for your session. It is easy. I have attached the configs. Once .xs file is created drag onto your notepad you will get all the configs. Compare and make the changes as attached.
Enjoy !

Re: "xterm" display setup
As with everything there is more than one way to do something. I do mine different than Madhu. Let me explain.
My client PC is attached to the LAN and I want to use Exceed to make a connection to my UNIX box that will make my PC look like my CDE.
OK...
Under Exceed click Xconfig
Click Communication
Mode=XDMCPQuery
Click Config and put in the IP of the
UNIX box and click OK
Now Under Exceed click Client Wizard
Enter the IP of this Host you want again..
Go down through..generally Xterm shows
up as a default above Applications
I pretty much go with the UNIX defaults
When you get to login and password, put it in but don't click to save this and then click on RUN to check it before you create an icon....
Give it a minute (depending on your network)..
and voila....mine comes up with the CDE screen just like from a workstation.
Piece of cake...
Finish off and save an icon for quick connections....drag it to your Desktop and your all set for next time. Just click the icon.
Of course this is for inhouse lan setups...a dial up is another ballgame..

Re: "xterm" display setup
dah...I forgot the export display...
OK..your on a PC with Exceed running..
I'm guessing it's some type of Windoze...SO..
Go to DOS...and type
ipconfig /all
This will give you your IP address on your PC (in case your not sure what it is..)
Exit DOS
Now from your Terminal Session
#xhost +
#export DISPLAY=:0
Now see if you can bring up a gui something..
Hope this helps,
