rc.log error finding

HI We had newly installed rp3410 server using ignite image.

After booting it throws an mesg like this.

* An Error has occured
! See /etc/rc.log for more details

My question is what is the keyword to grep in rc.log file for finding error.

Re: rc.log error finding

Search for error/fail.
But the log should not be that big
;-)

You will see which script gave the error.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: rc.log error finding

HI Log is readable size only.

But no entry in name of fail/error.

ONly skipped , exiting etc.

Required some more keywords
to find out the exact error.

Usually they are obvious. If you still can't find it, you could attach it to your reply.
I assume it should be in /etc/rc.log not /etc/rc.log.old?

If you have all of the progress messages on your screen, you should see a "*" by the bad one.
