Hi Guys,
Can someone advice how can I resolve this problem. I have a rx2620 corrected to a tape array 5300 via the 68pin port behind the server. When I try to restore the OS from ignite recovery , it prompt error. file not found, and whether I type y or n to continue it will not restore. Pls advice.

When you say tape array, do you mean remotely connected? Ignite will only work with locally connected tape drives.

No attachement!

Did you bootet the install DVD?
You have to go to

-> Install HP-UX -> select Advanced Installation -> Recovery tape -> GO!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the reply, the tape array is connected directly to the scsi port behind the server. I think is sharing the port with the internal hardisk and I have check the path, it is the same the only different is the scsi id. Please advice.

*Note,

I have follow the steps booting from the DVD and recover from there, it still fail

What is the result of the command ioscan -fnC tape? (assuming you are able to get that far).

Hi,
The result of ioscan -kfnC tape is claimed with /dev/rmt/0m
