Re: receiving mails to my mailbox

hi,

You may wish to configure your server to forward the mails to your mailbox. If you already have a mail server, you can just forward the mails to the smtp address.

for more info see:

http://nixdoc.net/man-pages/HP-UX/man5/aliases.5.html

hope this helps!

kind regards

Re: receiving mails to my mailbox

If you want to read the email on your HP-UX system, you can run elm which is an interactive mail manager. Just like vi, it takes a while to learn how to use it, so you might consider auto-forwarding root's email to your address on a PC.

Modify /etc/mail/aliases

# Local aliases
root : youremail@yourdoamin.com

Then, execute the newaliases command.

Re: receiving mails to my mailbox

Hi Kenan,

You can set .forward in your home directory to redirect mails wherever you want. Also, make sure you are able to contact the external mail server you forward.
