recognising new disk in hpux 3.1

Hi,

I have had some issues discovering newly added luns from XP24000 to HP superdome virtual partition running 11.31.

the only way to get the disk recognised is to reboot!!

I tried:
ioscan -fncdisk
insf -e

but still until I reboot the server the luns will not be visible!

am i missing somthing here with hpux 11.31?

thanks for your help.

Shalom Kamel,

Try this:
insf -C disk

The right tool for the right job.

Re: recognising new disk in hpux 3.1

Isn't it?

insf -eC disk

Then look at your:

ioscan -fnC disk

hi Kamel;
ioscan -fnC disk
insf -C disk

are the correct ordered commands for this issue.
