Recovering from Ignite

Hi,

With the Ignite server lying in 10.1.5.XX and Ignite clients lying in 10.1.3.XX and 10.1.8.XX i.e. different subnets, we need a boot helper. Hope I am correct.

Re: Recovering from Ignite

Hi Buds..

Whats model of the server and the OS version??

Directed boot can also be used.
Directed Boot:
A boot request that is directed to a particular boot server or boot helper system. Client and server networking configuration information is stored on the client system and DHCP is not used. A directed boot also allows boot and installation from a server on a different subnet without requiring a boot helper.
Don't fix what ain't broke

Re: Recovering from Ignite

These are different subnets?

You should use the "dbprofile" option to boot the Integrity clients from ignite, this works even without a boot helper.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
