ReflectionX colors for sam, swinstall etc..

My RX color scheme shows up black text on pale blue background which is real poor for overhead presentation.
How do I change the color of reflectionX bg/fg for X apps like sam and swinstall....

I suspect they'll reflect the default desktop colour scheme ...so I'd go into stylemanager and either select a scheme that suits or create your own colour palette and save it.

CDE front panel -> look for the icon that looks like a combination of an artist colour palette,fonts,mouse and part of an Xclient window -> color and away you go

last reply is assumming you are accessing a full CDE session via RX. If you are not it may still work .... got to go .. won't be back till Tuesday ..... let me know how you get on ...

Hi Bill,
Ive given a try to:
hpterm -display 160.xx.xx.xxx:0.0 -n coucou -bg blue -fg white -fn rom13 -sb &
it does change the colors... and then I tred glance in text mode the display is acceptable

I cant change now (Im in CDE with xdmcp on a HP ) my window manager for I have too many vital sessions opened at the moment...

I've been playing with GNOME under HP-UX and had to find some decent colors for the old Motif apps which don't pay attention to the GTK+ themes. I created ~/.Xdefaults with the values listed below. Ref/X should have a configuration option to specify a file in which you can place these settings. If Ref/X doesn't support the "cpp" macro definitions (#define), you will have to copy the color values to each line, etc. These settings seem to do a pretty good job at simulating the behavior of the CDE/VUE color palette feature. Feel free to find a color combination that works good for you.

I'm not in an Xdmcp connection, just an export Display to rx node ip.
When launching sam I get the attached.
It's this that I'm trying to change.

Chucks suggestion did the trick.
The define didn't work but all the colors in man mwm and #FFFFFF did.
You gotta watch out for little spaces at the end of the hex color too.
