Re: Regarding local display...
In the server check telnet/ssh running fine.
You can refresh inetd.
Also You can check your Firewall and other restrictions in the local pc.
hth,
Raj.

Re: Regarding local display...
You mean, not getting console login? or Display login?
What kind of Server/Workstation it is?
Regards,
Rajesh

Re: Regarding local display...
getty is only responsible here for console login.
You have problem with console login or with all telnet login ?
If problem with console login , check if getty is running :
/usr/sbin/getty console console
Cheers,
Raj.

Re: Regarding local display...
Sounds like issue with monitor.
Monitor is not compatible. Display wouldn't come for 14 and 15 Inches monitor seen.
Try with connecting any 17 Inches monitor.
Thanks & Regards,
Rajesh

Re: Regarding local display...
"If messages are expected but do not appear during booting, it may be caused by the logical system console (/dev/syscon) being linked to a device that is not the physical system console (/dev/systty). If this occurs, you can force boot init to relink /dev/syscon to /dev/systty by pressing the DEL (delete) key (ASCII 127) on the physical system console."
I seem to recall that, on early HP-UX 11, this would happen if the system was rebooted from a station other than the console / GSP
