Reloading OS

I have never had to reload HP-UX from scratch.
Can you give me an idea how long that might take. I know this time could very from 1 hr to a week. I just need an idea so I know how time to budget.
The server is an HP-9000, rp2450 and it only has a bunch of disk. I need to reload it because of a failed patch.(PHKL_18543) I will be loading HP-UX 11i from scratch and and then the current patches.
I have never been around when this was done so I do not know how long it could take and I sure one of you has been through this and could give me an idea. I guessing it could be 2-4 hours to reload OS after all the backups are complete, not sure. The Apps are not an issue of this time. Just to get the OS up and running and can see all the drives is the part that I do not know.

Can you help with this?

Re: Reloading OS

Just put the CD in (or ignite tape) and you should be done in about 3 hrs. (all included)

Re: Reloading OS

Marty,

It depends very much on the speed of the machine in question, but I can usually get a system up and running in a morning. So figure on 4 to 6 hours, 8 at the max.
