Remote Application Execution via NFS?
Hello All-
Is there any way to kick off an application via an NFS shared file system and have it run on the ** remote ** server instead of on the local server that the NFS file system is share out to?
Thanks!

Re: Remote Application Execution via NFS?
NFS is a file-sharing system. If you wish to
_run_ something on a different system, then
you need to use something else, like
remsh/rsh, ssh, Telnet, or the like.

Re: Remote Application Execution via NFS?
I think you're looking for the on(1) command. Refer to the man pages for on(1) and rexd(1M).
Hope this helps,
Dave
